Tube Drivers Vote For Piccadilly Line Strike
Tube drivers on London Underground's Piccadilly line have voted to strike over allegations of a breakdown in industrial relations. Following an RMT union ballot of nearly 400 train operators across the line, 85% voted for strike action and the result will now be considered by the union's executive. A statement released by the union said the ballot had been called after what it described as a "prolonged period of industrial problems on the line" related to the "ageing Piccadilly line fleet".
