Tower block cladding: 34 buildings fail fire safety tests
The number of high-rise residential blocks which have failed fire safety tests because of cladding has risen to 34.Buildings in 17 local authorities are now known to have cladding which is not compliant with current regulations - including towers in Manchester, Camden, Plymouth, Hounslow, Portsmouth, Barnet and Brent.The Government says tests are still being performed "around the clock", with landlords of at-risk buildings informing tenants and implementing interim safety measures.
