Tony Blackburn set to return to BBC Radio 2

Tony Blackburn will return to Radio 2 next year, after being taken off air in February following a review into sex abuse at the BBC. Blackburn will present an hour-long show on Radio 2 on Fridays at 7pm, and will also return to local radio. According to BBC director general Tony Hall, Blackburn was taken off air "because his evidence on the Jimmy Savile sex abuse inquiry fell short" of the standards demanded by the broadcaster.
