'Thundersnow' could hit UK as Arctic blast moves in

'Thundersnow' and blizzards could hit parts of the UK as an Arctic blast looks set to send temperatures plunging. The Met Office has issued yellow "be aware" warnings for wind and snow in Scotland, Northern Ireland and parts of northwest England from Wednesday. The wintry showers will continue into Thursday and Friday - when the warnings also cover Wales and eastern England.
