Three million children in poverty despite record employment

Nearly three million children are living in poverty despite growing numbers of people in work.Figures taken from the Department for Work and Pensions and analysed by the National Housing Federation show there are 847,000 children in working households who are living in poverty because of the cost of housing.There are more than 2.9m children living in poverty in total.
