Thousands At Parade In Shakespeare's Birthplace

More than 10,000 people have attended a parade to celebrate Shakespeare's legacy on the 400th anniversary of his death. Crowds were asked to take part by tossing sprigs of rosemary "for remembrance" - as the Bard wrote in Hamlet - as a funeral bier of flowers was pulled through the streets. Prince Charles gave the commemorations a royal seal of approval, touring the writer's former home and graveside at Stratford's Holy Trinity Church.
