Theresa May tells UN: UK has right to control borders

The UK has the right to control its borders and turn away "economic migrants" who pose as refugees to gain entry, Theresa May has told world leaders. At a UN summit, the Prime Minister called for an end to "uncontrolled migration" and said refugees should claim asylum in the first safe country they come to in order to address "unprecedented levels of population movement".
