The Queen could help bring back tin mining to the splendour of Poldark's time

IT MAY be 200 years since Ross Poldark dreamed of reviving his family’s tin mine, but the industry that made Cornwall famous could be heading for a revival with help from the Queen. The Crown Estate, which manages a £12.4billion property portfolio on behalf of the monarchy, is considering selling offshore mineral extraction rights.
