Term Date Shake-Up To Avoid Holiday Price Hikes

Families could benefit from cheaper holidays if plans to change term dates are approved by Brighton and Hove City Council. Under the proposals, children could see term dates changed in order to help families avoid steep price rises for breaks during school breaks. The city council is exploring the possibility of cutting the summer holidays and creating a "standalone" week's holiday when parents could take advantage of cheaper prices without having to take their children out of school.
