Tata Board Meets To Consider UK Steel Bids

The board of Indian steel giant Tata is meeting to weigh up bids for its business employing thousands of workers in the UK. Prime Minister David Cameron said there had been an encouraging number of serious offers for the assets and that the Government was doing everything it could to help - though there were no guarantees of a successful conclusion to the process. Business Secretary Sajid Javid and Welsh First Minister Carwyn Jones have travelled to Mumbai to discuss prospects for the sale.
