Sugar Tax Decision Delayed Until Summer

The Government has delayed the publication of its childhood obesity strategy, which includes a decision on a sugar tax. The Department of Health said in a statement there was more work to do, despite suggestions David Cameron may have delayed publication because he is busy with the EU referendum. Mr Cameron has spoken out against a sugar tax in the past, but last month he signalled a softening of his opposition.
