Russia Hitting Civilians Not IS, Says Fallon

Russian air strikes are hitting civilians in Syria rather than Islamic State targets as Vladimir Putin looks to protect the Assad regime, the Defence Secretary has claimed. Michael Fallon said Ministry of Defence intelligence suggested only one in 20 raids had hit IS targets. Instead, he said, the "vast majority" were killing civilians and Free Syrian forces fighting Bashar al Assad's forces.
