Rail Boss Turns Down Bonus After Disruption
The boss of the company that operates disruption-hit Southern Rail has declined a salary hike and bonus as it reported a surge in annual profits. Go-Ahead said David Brown had made the decision on his pay because it had "not delivered the required levels of passenger service on our Southern routes". Pre-tax profits at the bus and rail operator rose 27% to £99.8m for the year to 2 July.
