Police misconduct case over fatal 2009 crash dropped over delays

A misconduct hearing into two police officers officers accused of removing evidence after a fatal car crash has been dropped.PC John Wills and Inspector Mandy Chamberlain faced gross misconduct allegations over a crash involving teenager Liam Albert, who was being chased by police as he drove a stolen Mazda through Merton, south London, and into Surrey in July 2009.The 17-year-old eventually crashed into another car in Esher, Surrey, and died eight days later.
