Police arrest murder suspect after fatal firework attack in Birmingham

A man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder after a father died following a firework arson attack on his home.Tony Nicholls, 56, died in hospital after a group of men burst into his home in Tile Cross, Birmingham, and set off an industrial-sized firework containing around 200 tubes of explosives, causing extensive damage to the property.Mr Nicholls, who leaves behind two brothers, as well as nieces and nephews, never regained consciousness as a result of the fire.
