PM orders inquiry into 'appalling' contaminated blood scandal
The Prime Minister has ordered an inquiry into "appalling tragedy" of the contaminated blood scandal.Theresa May said she was determined the victims and their families "finally get the answers and justice they have spent decades waiting for".The scandal, in which at least 2,400 people died, involved haemophiliacs and other patients being infected with hepatitis C and HIV from blood products in the 1970s and 1980s.
