PG Tips is to stop using plastic in its tea bags after more than 200,000 people signed an online petition demanding it switch to a biodegradable material.Tea bags are often sealed using a heat-resistant plastic, polypropylene.The innovation, introduced to reduce the product's environmental impact, is based on "cutting-edge science and technology", the company added.
