Personal Trainer Jailed For Passing On HIV

A personal trainer who infected two women with HIV after lying to them about his condition and claiming he was allergic to condoms has been jailed for five years. Simon Arthur James, 46, was found guilty in October on two counts of recklessly transmitting the virus. James, from Bradley Stoke in Gloucestershire, was diagnosed with HIV in the mid 1990s but did not use contraception or take his medication, and also missed hospital appointments.
