Paint thinner chemical in Lidl gravy granules forces recall

A harmful paint thinner chemical has been found in gravy granules sold by Lidl. The discount supermarket chain is recalling two batches of its Kania Gravy Granules after they were discovered to have been contaminated with xylene. Public Health England said exposure poses a health risk, causing irritation to the mouth, throat, nose and lungs and in severe cases can lead to heart problems.
