Owen Smith Pledges To Give More Power To Labour Members

Labour leadership contender Owen Smith has pledged to give more power to party members and allow them to have final sign-off on manifesto pledges. Mr Smith is locked in a fierce contest with incumbent Jeremy Corbyn, with the victor due to be announced on 24 September. As the campaign approaches the final stretch, Mr Smith used a speech in Porth, South Wales, to make a pitch to members that he will listen to their concerns.
