NHS miracle machine could mean the END of hospital bugs

A NEW “vacuum dressing” that could save thousands of lives by slashing the number of post- surgical infections is set to be approved by watchdogs this week. The hand-held vacuum is attached by tube to the surgical dressing, preventing bacteria multiplying by sucking away fluids while accelerating healing by drawing up growth cells.
