Mugger Who Attacked 92-Year-Old For £5 Jailed

Solomon Bygraves, 29, told Stanley Evans he was going to help him with his wheelie bag as he returned from a shopping trip. CCTV footage played at London's Southwark Crown Court showed Bygraves running off as the pensioner falls to the floor. Mr Evans remained lying in the entrance to the flats in Soho, central London, for 10 minutes after the attack on 31 January. The judge, Recorder Andrew Mitchell QC, said the attack on Mr Evans, now 93, could have been fatal.
