MPs' Salaries Will Rise To Nearly £75,000

MPs' salaries will rise by 1.3% from April to £74,962, the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) has said. IPSA said in a statement: "This is in line with our determination on MPs' pay, published in July 2015, where we committed to adjusting MPs' pay for the rest of this Parliament at the same rate as changes in public sector earnings published by the Office for National Statistics. IPSA has faced widespread criticism of its handling of the issue.
