MPs attack staff's under-inflation pay rise

A quarter of all MPs have complained a below inflation pay increase for their staff is "not fair" and should be higher.The group of 169 from across the political parties urged the body which sets the wages of parliamentary workers to reconsider its decision.IPSA, the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, announced on Thursday it was hiking MPs' pay by 2.7% - taking it from £77,379 to £79,468 starting on 1 April.
