By William James and Kate Holton LONDON (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Theresa May personally intervened to delay the French and Chinese-backed Hinkley Point nuclear project so she could further consider the deal, a government source said, explaining Friday's shock move. The plan by France's EDF to build two new reactors with financial backing from a Chinese state-owned firm was championed by May's predecessor David Cameron as a sign of Britain's openness to foreign investment.
