May hints at transitional deal to avert Brexit 'cliff edge'
Brexit means Brexit, and that means leaving the European Union - well eventually, it seems. Appearing before business leaders, the Prime Minister today suggested that the UK may have a transitional period, an interim agreement before full-blown Brexit. Acknowledging business fears about a sudden "cliff-edge" change after the UK leaves the European Union, Theresa May said avoiding it would be part of talks with Brussels.
