Mark Reckless quits Ukip to join Conservative group in Welsh assembly

Mark Reckless, the former Conservative MP who defected to Ukip, has quit the party to support the Conservative group in the Welsh assembly, where he now sits.Reckless’s decision follows the move last month by Douglas Carswell, who defected to Ukip from the Conservatives a month before Reckless and remains an MP, to quit the party and sit in the Commons as an independent.
