Manchester Piccadilly station reopens after protest on tracks
Manchester Piccadilly station has reopened after being closed for three hours following a demonstration on the railway tracks by about 100 protesters.The group, who carried signs reading “stop Turkey from helping Isis terrorists”, walked on to rail lines at about 1pm on Sunday, preventing trains from entering and leaving the station.In a statement earlier on Sunday, National Rail said: “The station will remain closed until all protesters have been removed.
