Manchester fire: Northern Quarter apartments blaze 'under control'

A fire in a 12-storey apartment building in central Manchester has spread to multiple floors but is now said to be "well under control".Twelve fire crews were called to tackle the blaze on the upper floors of the building in Joiner Street, inside the city's Northern Quarter, just after 4pm.The Ambulance Service sent a hazard area response unit and six ambulances.
