Man proposed with ring stolen from 91-year-old widow in Birmingham

A man who proposed to a woman with an engagement ring stolen from a 91-year-old widow has been jailed.Reid, of Berryfields Road, Sutton Coldfield, then used a gold engagement ring stolen in the burglary to propose to a woman on Christmas Eve.Jones, of Oak Close, Rubery, in Worcestershire, was caught on CCTV in a jewellery shop in Birmingham Road the morning after the raid, trying to sell items including a signet ring, watch and bracelet that belonged to the victim's late husband.
