Man caught by bell rope at Worcester Cathedral winched to safety

A man whose foot was caught in a rope in a cathedral's bell tower and pulled into the air has been winched to safety. The bell-ringer, named as Ian Bowman, is reported to have suffered a head wound and a back injury when his foot became entangled. Mr Bowman, from Devon, is understood to have been visiting Worcester Cathedral at the time.
