Majority Of People Back Junior Doctors Over Strikes
Most people continue to back the junior doctors' strikes, but support has fallen dramatically since earlier in the year, a Sky Data Snap Poll reveals. When asked to choose whether they support or oppose the strikes due to take place from 12 to 16 September, 57% of Britons said they support junior doctors, while 43% oppose them. Voters aged 55 or over are opposed to the strikes by 53% to 47%, though there is stronger support for the junior doctors' position among younger voters.
