M5 closed for hours in both directions after incident near Exeter

Thousands of people have been stuck on the M5 in southwest England after police stopped traffic to deal with an incident.A detour was put into operation but the motorway itself was closed in both directions between junctions 29 and 28 near Exeter.Devon and Cornwall Police have said the incident followed concerns for a man on a bridge that crosses over the motorway.
