Lord Lucan's Son Wants Father 'Presumed Dead'
The son of Lord Lucan, whose disappearance remains one of Britain's most enduring criminal mysteries, has launched a legal bid to have his father declared "presumed dead". George Bingham said the step would provide "closure", more than 40 years after the Earl vanished following the murder of his children's nanny at the family home in central London. Sandra Rivett was bludgeoned to death at the Belgravia property on 7 November, 1974.
