Lib Dems pledge extra £1.2bn for police forces and attack Tory 'cuts'

The Liberal Democrats are promising £1.2bn of extra funding for police in England and Wales.The money is being pledged over a five-year period with individual forces deciding how to spend it.The party claimed figures from the National Audit Office show that under Theresa May at the Home Office, and now as Prime Minister, the police have suffered over £2.2bn worth of cuts in real terms.
