Lancashire driver escapes with minor injuries after lorry tyre smashes through windscreen

A driver has been described as the "luckiest man in the world" after he escaped serious injury when a lorry's wheel came off on the motorway and smashed through his windscreen.The tyre detached from a HGV lorry on the M6 near Leyland in Lancashire and bounced over the central reservation before striking the man's Peugeot, which was travelling in the opposite direction.Lancashire Police shared pictures of the Peugeot's shattered windscreen and collapsed roof and said it was "beyond" them as to ho
