Labour Anti-Semitism Inquiry Chair Under Fire

The chair of Labour's inquiry into anti-Semitism faces questions over her independence after revealing she recently joined Jeremy Corbyn's party. Shami Chakrabarti, the former director of campaign group Liberty, was forced to defend her credentials to lead what was billed as an independent inquiry. The Labour leader called the inquiry on 29 April, after the suspensions of Bradford MP Naz Shah and former London mayor Ken Livingstone among several cases of alleged anti-Semitism.
