Kia Oval scheme has stopped six tons of plastic going to landfill
A scheme to reduce the amount of plastic used at the Kia Oval cricket ground has prevented at least six tons of material being sent to landfill.Switching to reusable drinking vessels and installing water fountains has prevented an estimated 690,000 pieces of plastic from being used at the venue.It comes a year after the cricket ground teamed up with the Sky Ocean Rescue campaign to slash the amount of single-use plastic around Surrey's pitch.
