Junior Doctors Reject Govt's Contract Deal

Junior doctors who are members of the British Medical Association have voted to reject a contract agreement with the Government. Following a referendum involving 37,000 junior doctors and medical students, 58% voted against accepting a contract which had been agreed between the BMA and the Government following extensive talks in May. The BMA said that although some junior doctors felt the contract represented an improved offer, others had concerns that the deal would have an impact on their work
