Junior Doctors Begin March Over Contract Row

More than 15,000 junior doctors and their supporters are expected to march through Westminster this afternoon in protest at threats by the Government to impose a new contract. Placards have been made to represent the junior doctors who are against the proposals, but cannot attend because they are already in work - a jibe against Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt. The British Medical Association (BMA) is warning the new contract will cut pay for doctors working unsocial hours, and put patients at risk
