Judges refuse to overturn 'joint enterprise' murder convictions

Senior judges have refused to overturn convictions in the first test case against "joint enterprise" guilty verdicts. Under the controversial "joint enterprise" rule, accomplices can be found guilty of murder even if they do not participate directly in a fatal attack. In February, the Supreme Court said in a landmark ruling that the application of the law had taken a "wrong turn".
