IRA Disappeared Victim Shot In Head - Inquest
A man whose remains were found in a bog in Ireland last year had been shot in the head in 1978, an inquest into his death has heard. Brendan Megraw was one of the so-called IRA Disappeared, a term given to people thought to have been abducted, murdered and secretly buried during the Troubles in Northern Ireland. Dublin Coroner's Court heard the IRA admitted in 1999 to killing Mr Megraw and how his body was found in a drainage ditch on Oristown bog, near Kells, Co Meath in 2014.
