Inflation rate unchanged at 0.6% in August

Inflation remained unchanged at 0.6% in August, official figures show. A big fall in the value of the pound has led to expectations that inflation will rise. The ONS said the cost of raw materials was rising "though there was little sign of this feeding through to consumer prices yet".
