Hostile Reception For Education Secretary

Head teachers have given the Education Secretary Nicky Morgan a hostile reception as she defended plans for controversial school academies. Her speech to the National Association of Head Teachers conference in Birmingham was greeted with shouts of "rubbish" by some delegates, and she refused to answer one question, saying it was sexist. The biggest flashpoint came when Mrs Morgan was asked a question by Simon Kidwell, head teacher at Hartford Manor Primary School in Cheshire.
