Home Secretary Backtracks On Internet Spying

Theresa May has made significant concessions that "diminish" the powers contained in the Investigatory Powers Bill to be introduced this week. Speaking on Sky's Murnaghan programme, Lord Ashdown said it appeared that the Home Secretary had moved in the right direction with some of the concessions she had made to the new Investigatory Powers Bill. But he warned if the spying powers went too far the Liberal Democrats would block the bill in the House of Lords.
