HMRC Boss To Quit Following MPs' Criticism

The embattled boss of HM Revenue and Customs is quitting her post in April, the Government has announced. Lin Homer has been in the role for the past four years, and she was made a dame in the New Year's Honours list. Even though HMRC's record of answering calls has been labelled "staggeringly bad", the Chancellor has said Ms Homer can be proud that she leaves the department in a strong position.
