HMP Birmingham riot: Prison officers take back control

All four wings have been secured at HMP Birmingham - 12 hours after the start of a riot at one of the country's biggest jails. Up to 600 inmates are thought to have been involved in the disturbance at the privately-run jail, Sky sources said, with reports of prisoners setting fire to stairwells, breaking a security chain and destroying paper records. Justice Secretary Liz Truss said a "thorough" investigation into the "serious situation" will be carried out.
