Hatton Garden Raider Was In Brink's Mat Heist

The oldest man involved in the Hatton Garden raid was convicted over the Brink's Mat gold bullion armed robbery in 1983, a court has heard. Brian Reader, 76, was jailed for eight years for conspiracy to handle stolen goods after the £26m raid on a warehouse at Heathrow Airport 32 years ago. Reader has already pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary in the Hatton Garden raid, where a gang looted safety deposit boxes for valuables worth more than £14m.
