Gary Glitter crept into a schoolgirl's bed and tried to rape her, a jury has been told. The allegation, which is said to have taken place at the height of Glitter's fame in the 1970s, was detailed as the prosecution opened its case against the 70-year-old at Southwark Crown Court.
