'Get Him Off' Cop Screamed During Axe Attack

A man has described how he helped a female police officer who had been subjected to a 'frenzied' attack by a man armed with an axe. The officer, who is in a serious condition in hospital, was one of five police officers injured after being called to a domestic incident in the Gleadless area of Sheffield on Wednesday night. She suffered multiple serious injuries, and another male officer was also injured at the scene.
